Strategy, brand, and story
for founders building what matters.

NYC | Washington, D.C.
Built for inflection points.
I partner with high-profile founders and CEOs at organizational inflection points—launches, repositionings and turnarounds—to build the narrative, brand, and communications infrastructure that makes people believe in what they're building. I'm not a traditional marketing and communications executive who manages "business as usual." I'm a zero-to-100 builder—a founder-whisperer who comes in at the critical moment when everything is about to change and helps you get the story, the strategy, and the structure right.
For 25 years I've done this for leaders including Rihanna, Leonard Lauder, Christy Turlington Burns, Jacqueline Novogratz, Kenneth Frazier and Jochen Zeitz.
My practice sits at the intersection of CMO, CCO, strategy and executive advisor. I've led transformations across corporate, nonprofit and social impact sectors—from launching new organizations to repositioning legacy institutions to executing full-scale turnarounds.
No playbook? No problem. I bring proven experiences and a founder's mindset to every engagement.
Education: A.B. Princeton University | M.A. Columbia University

Three disciplines.
One executive.
Strategy
Clarity of vision, organizational architecture, and the kind of strategic counsel that holds through a crisis. I've served as strategic partner to CEOs at every stage: board presentations, turnarounds, long-range planning. I see around corners while framing the whole picture.
Brand
Brand without marketing is decoration. I do both—positioning, visual identity and messaging architecture on one side; go-to-market strategy, audience development and digital growth on the other. I not only build brands, I make them move.
Story
Narrative is what holds the rest together. Earnings calls, annual reports, documentary series, crisis communications, campaigns and speaking platforms...I've shaped the public voice of some of the world's most recognized leaders. Words have stakes; I treat them that way.
Launches.
Repositionings.
Transformations.
The pattern is consistent: I help founders and CEOs change the game. Here are six examples of how I aligned mission, vision, strategy and execution to break through.
OneTen
Ken Frazier · Kenneth Chenault · Ginni Rometty
Joined as the second hire after the CEO. No website, no social, no collateral, no audience. Built brand, communications, and go-to-market for a first-of-its-kind Fortune 500 CEO coalition to national awareness in under 24 months.
Clara Lionel Foundation
Rihanna
Shifted CLF from general philanthropy to recognized leader in climate resilience. Managed all communications through $40M+ in emergency grant distributions.
Every Mother Counts
Christy Turlington Burns
Conceived and launched the platform (2010)—brand, narrative, website and a global partnership alliance with CARE, Planned Parenthood, UNFPA, Amnesty International and the White Ribbon Alliance. Returned a decade later (2019). Restructured development, marketing and engagement. Doubled annual revenue. Tripled flagship event revenue. Built a six-figure digital fundraising engine.
Acumen
Jacqueline Novogratz
Built the org's first global marketing and communications function across seven country offices. Produced multiple conference events featuring prominent leaders and cultural icons.
Breast Cancer Research Foundation
Evelyn H. and Leonard Lauder
Transformed a one-person PR function into a full communications, marketing and partnerships function. +35% online revenue growth in the first 9 months. 288% increase in email-driven traffic.
Zeitz Foundation / PUMAVision
Jochen Zeitz, CEO PUMA
Built the Zeitz Foundation from concept—translating a complex sustainability vision into a consumer-facing brand, accreditation program, and global ecotourism coalition. Launched Puma's first CSR platform.

or starting the next chapter, start here.
I work with a small number of founders, CEOs and organizations at a time. If you're at an inflection point—a launch, a repositioning, a turnaround—I'd love to hear about it.
